They say blood is thicker than water, but in the military, you get the privilege of forging a family and building a strong comradery between people. This connection proves challenging to find when merging back into civilian life. Sara is a disabled veteran living in Las Vegas Nevada who understands the struggle of finding that connection in the community. When she left the military in 2019, she set out to find a network of veterans in the city and gradually built a circle of friends she now considers family. Through research and personal experience, she has found organizations and connections that benefit her fellow veterans. Sara has lived in the valley for 6 years and hopes to share the information she finds with those who need it most. Sara has a bachelor’s in Public Relations from Southern New Hampshire University and an MA in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University.
