Military Appreciation Night Hosted by UNLV Rebel Hockey

On January 28, 2023, the University of Nevada hockey team hosted a military appreciation night. The Division 1 team went up against Oklahoma University, winning 4-0.

Jason Griego, founder of the Vegas Veteran Hockey Foundation, and TJ Henderson, founder of the Veteran Social Club, were present to drop the game puck and join in the event.

“It was great being able to support a local event while bringing recognition to the military,” said Cody Vogt, an active-duty Air Force member who attended the game. “There are so many veterans in the valley and these events really help connect us to the community.”

Veterans could attend the game for a discounted $5 ticket and were welcomed to the ice for recognition, games, and prizes.
